This book has been developed as per the new lower curriculum for use in our current education situation. Given the fact that the population is surging far away in relation to the available resources, it is developed to impact skills to our learners to be critical thinkers, see things in a bigger picture and explore the natural environment for job creation. The book covers the entire new lower curriculum for Ordinary Level from Senior One up to Senior Four. This means that our learners need to buy only one copy and use it from level one to level four than buying a copy every year for each class. A lot of examples and illustrations plus pictures have been used per each topic to try to reflect what is in the topic for the learners to understand the work therein well for the development of their critical thinking and problem solving. A range of activities have been provided in the entire topics and these will be conducted both within and outside the classroom setting. The learner is expected to be able to work as an individual, in pairs and groups according to the nature of the activities per topic. The author used different names to try to cater for the different tribes and cultures from African setting. Therefore all the names used in this book do not refer to any person or anything of obscene nature but names from different African cultures and tribes including yours. “Think Critically, Solve the Problem”

Intelligence may be narrowly defined as the capacity to acquire knowledge and understanding, and use it in different novel situations. It is this ability, or capacity, which enables the individual to deal with real situations and profit intellectually from sensory experience. A test of intelligence is designed to formally study, under test conditions, the success of an individual in adapting to a specific situation. There are a number of different methods which purport to measure intelligence, the most famous of which is the IQ, or intelligence quotient test. In the formation of such tests many psychologists treat intelligence as a general ability operating as a common factor in a wide variety of aptitudes. Whilst many IQ tests measure a variety of different types of ability such as verbal, mathematical, spatial and reasoning skills, there is now a second school of thought in which it is believed that the earlier definitions of intelligence may be too simplistic. It is now becoming increasingly recognised that there are many different types of intelligence and that a high measured IQ, although desirable, is not the only key to success in life. Other characteristics, such as outstanding artistic, creative or practical prowess, especially if combined with personal characteristics such as ambition, good temperament and compassion, could result in an outstanding level of success despite a low measured IQ. It is because of this that in recent years CQ (creative quotient) and EQ (emotional quotient), to name just two examples, have come to be regarded as equally important as, or even more important than, IQ measurement.

ABOUT MAP READING Several map extracts have been enclosed in this book for learners to get exposed to different geographical phenomenon and a wide range of questions. About map reading. Lake Nakivali ; Nyarweyo and Masaka map extracts have been used to illustrate worked out examples on how students are expected to answer questions. There are trial exercises in the manuscript on every map extract for students to try out. ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION Possible areas where the photograph could have been taken plus a number of economic activities and the subsequent examinable question and answer have been put in this manuscript. There several well worked out examples to arouse desire for student to attempt the many questions provided at the end of the chapter. ABOUT FIELD WORK Case studies of Kasenyi landing site, kajjansi clay works, Namulanda daily market and Mpamize mixed farm. The above cases have been used to answer all possible questions on field work. At the end of each topic trial questions are given to enhance learning process. Often a number of questions are always posed on how the law treats the people with special needs, in the presence of equality provisions, it is absurd that there is still a wide lacuna to deal with people with special needs in our jurisprudence. Special Needs literally means a combination term referring to a wide range of conditions which causes a greater difficulty or restriction in a person’s learning at a normal pace and performance of daily life activities. Like the U.N puts it clear that “The ultimate goal is to achieve [disability] equality”1The ongoing argument succumbs its roots from the different categories of special needs which include autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, blindness, deafness, ADHD, and cystic fibrosis. Basically these individuals require assistance for “ disabilities” (not the right word) that may be medical, mental, or psychological. In the United States "special needs" is a legal term applying in foster care, derived from the language in the Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997. It is a diagnosis used to classify children as needing "more" services than those children without special needs who are in the foster care system. It is a diagnosis based on behavior, childhood and family history, and is usually made by a health care professional.

Religion and the law adjudicated by courts have a great bond that even before the coming of philosophical doctrines of democracy people adhered to the law of religion which also developed as their customs. In Uganda, there several religious faiths which include Christianity, Islam and African .Tradition Religion as the common known religions. But several religions have emerged by the introduction of the freedom of worship. In reference to the late Kenyan theologian John S. Mbiti, he observed extensively in that Africans are notoriously religious, in his book African Religions and Philosophy (1969) which he wrote while still a lecturer at Makerere University, he was against the western civilization tenets that African .Tradition religion was demoniac in nature and barbaric. he further noted that traditional African religions deserve the same respect as other religions across the world. He referred to the Bible, God is the creator of all things, therefore meaning that God has revealed himself to all things. The civil courts have without hesitation exercised their jurisdiction to protect the temporalities of religious bodies and religion in general.

Music law is important to creating and performing music. Music lawyers do their part to help their clients understand the laws and protect their interests. While the music industry primarily involves licensing and contract law, music law may involve a number of different types of law that are all a part of creating and performing music. Music law is the law that affects the music industry. Music is commercially bought and sold in the Uganda and around the world. Any law that impacts how the music industry does business is part of music law. Music law includes any laws of any kind that apply to the business of creating, selling, performing and listening to music. Music law is a part of entertainment law.
